Carnival Cruise Ship Accident: Galveston, Texas
The Carnival Ecstasy Cruise Ship was involved in an accident which injured 61 of its passengers. The Ecstasy was sailing in the Gulf of Mexico on a five-day cruise out of Galveston, Texas. During the cruise ship’s return, the Carnival Ecstasy sharply veered to avoid a floating buoy causing the ship sharply lean to one side. Passengers aboard the ship estimate that the ship listed 30 Degrees to the port.
