Law.com has reported that ICANN is considering a new policy that would let website owners/domain registrants keep most of their contact information confidential when they register for a domain name. On the one side, registrants want to keep their information private. On the other side, corporations want to know who is registering domain names that may infringe on their trademark rights. ICANN is expected to make a decision concerning this issue in the Summer of 2007.
