This blogcast discusses the value of the virtual worker program spearheaded nationally by Traverse Legal. Our virtual paralegal and law clerk program provides more value at a reduced cost to the client. On our flat fee cases (which comprise approximately 35% of our matters), it allows us to deliver solutions to clients within budget.

We only hire top candidates so you are ensured that top legal minds are working to solve your legal problem.

Virtual Paralegal/Clerk Program

We hire virtual law clerks and virtual paralegals who work as independent contractors on a project and task basis.   These 'virtual' workers provide legal solutions at the lowest possible transactional cost possible, delivering maximum value to the client.

Task Based Projects & Budgets:  Every assignment to a virtual worker is narrowly defined, documented and budgeted.  Unlike traditional firms which assign tasks to paralegal and clerks which are open ended and designed to "create billable work," these tasks are designed to accomplish the opposite.  We reduce billable work by posing narrow questions and asking for narrow answers.  Each task allots a maximum number of hours to completion.  If the worker needs more hours, it must be approved.  All incentives push hard towards efficiency and answers.

Overflow Capacity: These virtual workers provide much needed overflow capacity for Traverse Legal, without creating overhead or 'make work' incentives. If there are no legitimate tasks to be handled, no work is assigned.

Alternative Billing:  By pushing easier tasks down to lower billing workers, we are in a position to deliver much more bang for the legal buck.  On our flat fee cases, we increase are able to work within budget.  On my value billing or blended hourly cases, we push tasks down to the appropriate billing level.  Making sure the lowest billing option is utilized consistent with the experience and expertise necessary to  handle each specific task, creates tremendous efficiencies.
