Kalkaska Accident
Five inches of heavy, wet snow contributed to a three-car accident that left one dead, the Kalkaska County Sheriff's Department reported. The accident occurred on M-72 near Aller Road in Kalkaska Township at 2:19 p.m. last Sunday. The driver of the first car lost control, clipped a second car, then was hit on the passenger side by an oncoming car, sheriff's deputies reported. The passenger of the first car, a 26-year-old woman from South Lyon, was dead at the scene. The driver, her boyfriend, was transported to Munson Medical Center.
